Born 1958 in Vilnius.

Studied at the State Art Institute of Lithuania in 1976–1983.

Member of the 'Group 24'.

Awards: Lithuanian National Prize (1989), Prize at the Eighth Vilnius Painting Triennial (1990), Order of Lithuanian Grand Duke Gediminas (1998), The Medal of the Baltic Assembly (2013), Honorary citizen of Zarasai Area (2014), Order for Merits to Lithuania, Officer‘s Cross (2016).

Works owned by the Lithuanian Art Museum, Vilnius Art Academy Museum, and private collectors in Lithuania and abroad.
