Born 1925 in Kikonys (Kupiškis district). Died 1987 in Kaunas.

1945-48 studied at Kaunas University but was expelled after his parients' exile to Siberia.

Graduated from Kaunas Agricultural Technical School in 1958.

Worked at Kaunas Water Management Projects Institute and at Forestry Research Insitute.

At the age of 40 took an interest at artistic photography and started to attend Kaunas Photography Club. Member of the Lithuanian Union of Art Photographers since 1970.

Works owned by the Lithuanian Union of Art Photography, the Lithuanian Art Museum, National Library of Paris, International Photography Center of New York.
