Born 1948 in Vilnius.

In 1973 graduated from the Lithuanian Art Institute (scenography and painting).

1977-1978 worked in the National Lithuanian Television.

1978-1993 worked in the Youth Theatre (chief artist).

Since 1989 is a professor in Vilnius Academy of Arts.

In 2000 gained the National Culture and Art Prize.

Member of the Lithuanian Artists’ Union.

His works are owned by the Lithuanian Art Museum, the Mikalojus Konstantinas Čurlionis National Art Museum, the Vilnius Gaon Jewish State Museum, the Lithuanian Theater, Music and Film Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery (Russia) and the Bachrushin Central State Theatre Museum (Moscow).
